Desain dan Implementasi Smart Classroom Berbasis Sensor PIR dan DHT22 untuk Efisiensi Energi
Abstract
Permasalahan pemborosan energi listrik di lingkungan pendidikan, terutama akibat lampu dan kipas yang sering dibiarkan menyala saat ruangan kosong, menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem otomatisasi lampu dan kipas angin berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan memanfaatkan mikrokontroler ESP32, sensor PIR untuk mendeteksi keberadaan manusia, dan sensor DHT22 untuk mengukur suhu ruangan. Sistem ini terhubung dengan aplikasi Blynk guna memudahkan pemantauan dan pengendalian secara real-time. Penelitian dilakukan di SMKS Budi Luhur Guntur selama satu bulan dengan pendekatan eksperimen terapan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berfungsi dengan baik, mampu memberikan respons cepat dan akurat terhadap perubahan kondisi di ruangan. Efisiensi energi meningkat signifikan, dengan penghematan estimatif sebesar 25–30% di satu ruang kelas. Jika diimplementasikan secara menyeluruh, sistem ini berpotensi mengurangi konsumsi listrik hingga lebih dari 66 kWh per bulan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam penerapan teknologi IoT untuk efisiensi energi di sektor pendidikan.
