Abstract

Adolescence is a time of transition from childhood to adulthood where growth and development occurs in all bodily functions. Adequate and nutritious food intake is needed at a young age because there are more activities during puberty. Food intake affects a person's nutritional status, while nutritional status is a person's condition which is caused by the intake, absorption and utilization of nutrients in food. Most teenagers have a penchant for eating and an inappropriate lifestyle, namely eating snacks from factories, sweet cakes, fried foods and crackers, this can increase a person's risk of becoming overweight, overweight and obese. Our research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between fat consumption and physical activity with the nutritional status of UNISVET students. The population in this research were all UNISVET students, while the sample in this research was 30 UNISVET students aged 18 to 25 years, healthy, willing to be respondents and had BMI according to the research criteria, namely 10 students with low BMI, 10 students with normal BMI, and 10 more IMT students. Data was tested by chi-square followed by logistic regression. Our research has the results of high fat intake on nutritional status, namely having an asimp sig of 0.178, which shows that there is no relationship between high fat consumption and nutritional status, while physical activity and nutrition, namely having an sig sig of 0.089, also shows no relationship.
